Did you know healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving garden? Join us for The Dirt on Soil and Composting, a free, hands-on workshop where Master Gardener Frank Branham and Beanie Larsen will guide you through the essentials of building healthy, nutrient-rich soil. You’ll explore soil types, try out testing stations, and learn how composting and vermicomposting (composting with worms!) can transform your garden. Participants will get to see vermicomposting in action, learn how to care for worms, and even practice harvesting worm castings. Whether you’re new to gardening or looking to deepen your skills, this workshop will help your garden thrive from the ground up. We encourage you to register so we can plan materials and seating. Drop-ins are welcome, though supplies may be limited. Join us at the Murdoch Center (203 E Brannen Ave) on April 4th from 10:00 am–12:00 pm!
