Full Moon Hike Summer - All Ages

PROSE - Open Space hosts a full moon walk (and sometimes bike ride) on one of our beautiful Open Space properties--a different spot each month. We start about a half-hour before the moon rises, walk on either a loop trail or out-and-back, and watch the full moon rise. Come check out your open spaces, and meet new people! Check each month for specific starting time, meeting place, and what trail we'll walk/ride for that full moon. Wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a red-light flashlight and hiking poles, but we'll have extras! This month, we'll walk the Tunnel Springs Trail, starting at the intersection of Railroad Springs Blvd (off of Old Rt 66 west) and Adirondack Ave, and we'll hike out and back on the trail. It is about 2.5 miles, and is steep as we get to the top of the mesa, then flat once we're on top. We'll watch the full moon rise on the way back down!
