Special Event - All Ages
In celebration of Arizona Archaeology & Heritage Awareness Month, Flagstaff PROSE and Neil Weintraub will host a guided hike of Picture Canyon and its archaeology! Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring drinking water and snacks if you need them. All are welcome! We are limiting the hike to 30 people, so please "Sign Up" here; you'll get an email reminding you of the hike, and if we have to cancel because of weather.

Neil W - ALL Parks, Recreation, Open Space & Events Volunt
After graduating from Grinnell College with a BA in Anthropology in 1986, Neil worked as research assistant, educator, and archaeologist at the Museum of Northern Arizona. In 1988 Coconino National Forest Archaeologist Peter J. Pilles Jr. hired him as an archaeological technician. In June 1990 Neil moved to the Kaibab National Forest where he retired 30 years later. Today Neil volunteers as an Arizona Site Steward, monitoring cultural sites across Northern Arizona, including Picture Canyon.
