McPherson Park Cleanup  - McPherson Park

The McPherson Park Cleanup is in partnership with AZCC. This cleanup will work to increase the health of the watershed by having participants discover best practices for the removal of the invasive plant species and litter from the park: Please come to these events prepared with the following: -Water -Sun Protection -Protective Clothing -Gardening Gloves (gloves will also be provided at the event) For each work type, volunteers will do the following: Invasive species removal: - Walk on uneven surfaces, including sloped channel banks. - Use hand tools such as clippers, loppers, root slayers, and shovels. - Be able to crouch or bend over - Place invasive species in provided trash bags. Litter removal: - Walk on uneven surfaces, including sloped channel banks. - Use hand tools such as trash pickers. - Place litter into provided trash bags. - Place recycling into provided recycling bags.
