Support sustainable consumption and divert waste from landfills by fixing items that usually end up in the trash. • Use hand tools and small power tools to repair common household items such as electronics, bicycles, kitchen appliances, jewelry, clothing, furniture, lamps, and more. • Assist with community member check-in process. • Complete necessary “Fix-It” paperwork which identifies if an item was fixed or was unrepairable. • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Ensure workstations are maintained in a clean and organized manner to reduce exposure to chemicals, open electric circuits, and sharp objects or projections. Fix-It Clinics reduces the amount of waste going to the landfill, encourages responsible consumption, teaches community members real-world skills, and builds connections between Flagstaff residents.
