Community Clean Up

As the snow melts away and another Flagstaff winter transforms into a lush oasis of new growth and flowing water, behold! A new world emerges from beneath our city’s beloved snowplay areas… and unfortunately, it’s one of broken sleds, crushed cans, ripped-up snack wrappers, and tattered gloves. Come build community and be a steward of our amazing shared spaces by helping us kick off spring the right way! Partner with us to remove a season’s worth of litter from our snowplay areas and give them the fresh start they deserve. All necessary supplies will be provided - all you have to do is register here on Volunteer Flagstaff, sign a provided Forest Service volunteer waiver upon arrival, spread the word to friends and family, and show up ready to help! Location: Peak View Winter Recreation and Parking Area Directions: Parking lot is located just off Highway 180, approximately one mile south of Snowbowl Rd. If heading towards Snowbowl from Flagstaff, keep an eye out on the right side of the road just before the big left bend towards Fort Valley! Coordinates: 35°15'52.2"N 111°42'15.6"W *NOTE: depending on snowfall and litter accumulation, the cleanup event may be relocated to Aspen Corner on Snowbowl Rd.
